Synesthesia is the crossing of two or more sensations from different sensory domains. Polyrhythm is the juxtaposition of two or more different rhythmic patterns with markedly different matrices.

Polyrhythm|Synesthesia is a work by Efraín Rozas in which robotics, percussion, light and video are combined to generate in the viewer a hypnotic experience that mixes visual, temporal and auditory effects using rhythm as a ritual and immersive element.

Album Review of I Enjoy the World at The Hum

“While engrossing and creatively brilliant on every count, I Enjoy The World equally presents a multilayered reminder of the spirit of the avant-garde, and the political potential of music at large. This is a realm in which neither making nor listening is benign. It is a lens into the mistakes of the past as much an offering of the potential of what we might become – of our tangled web of discourses extending across the globe. I can’t recommend this one enough”
